Create a Google Analytics Property ID for Blogger
You must be signed in to create a Google Analytics ID or to use a Google product.
1. First of all, search Google Analytics in Chrome browser or any browser and open Google Analytics website.
2. When the Google Analytics website will open, you will see a button written in it written as Start Measuring. You have to click on that button.
3. After clicking on the Start Measuring button, the section for setting up analytics account will open. There are three steps to creating the first main Analytics ID.
4. In the first Account setup step, you have to provide a name for your account and check the four boxes below to get some required information and then click on Next.
5. In the second Property setup step, you have to give a name of your property. You can give the same name instead of all the names. And then you have to select the Time-zone and then select your desired currency and then click on Next.
6. In the third About your business setup step, in the industry category, you have to select the main category of your website. Industry category means to which topic your blog website is related. Then you will select the business size. If you are working alone or 10 people are working on that website then you will select small in business size. And then you select the boxes that you want to measure by analytics. Then click on the Create button given below.
7. As soon as you click on the create button given below, after that a pop up will open for you to accept the privacy policy and term and condition of Google Analytics. You select your country and follow the privacy policy and term and condition and check or select both the boxes and then click on I accept button.
8. Then after this the "My Email Communication" pop up of Google Analytics will open. You select the boxes as per your wish and click on save. Then after this you will see the dashboard of data streaming setup.
9. In data streaming setup you have to click on the Web button.
10. After clicking on the web button, you will see the section to add the URL and name of your website. After entering the URL and name of the website, click on the Create Stream button.
11. After clicking on Create Stream button, you will see a pop-up of web stream details, which contains a Measurement ID and HTML tag. This Measurement ID will not be added to the blog website and it is not necessary to set it in the blog. You cut out this pop-up. Then click on the admin or setting icon button below.
12. On clicking the admin button, the admin dashboard will open, showing individual categories of Account and Property. In the Properties category, click on Create property.
13. Then after this, you will see the pop-up of setting the property, you should give your property name in it, select the time zone, select the currency and click on the advance option. Then select the "Create a Universal Analytics Property only", then enter the URL of your website be carefully. Then click on the Next button.
14. Then in the next pop-up, in the Industry category, select the main category of your website, select the business size, and select all you want to measure with Analytics and click on the Create button.
15. After clicking on the Create button, a pop-up of web stream details will be displayed in which Universal Analytics Property ID starting with UA prefix will be given.
Setup a Google Analytics Property ID in Blogger
16. You copy it and go to your blogger's settings and add it to the Google Analytics property ID section and save it.
17. It is not necessary to add Universal Analytics Property ID's global site tag to head section, because only adding Universal Analytics property ID to Google Analytics property ID section in blogger's settings will result in its global site tag in head section of blogger website There may be an add-on, which you can see above the </head> of your website.
18. After a few hours, you can do a complete analysis of your website traffic in Google Analytics.
