10. On the other hand, though, a not so good example might be something like Podcast Episode 25 - Top 10 USB Mixes for Podcasting. It's long, repetitive, and contains unnecessary numbers. Remember, tell your audience exactly what they're hearing in as little space as possible.
Write SEO friendly description:
1. While SEO is really important for your podcast titles, it is also important for your podcast description. While titles have limited space and shouldn't be wasted, feel free to be a bit more creative and descriptive in your podcast description.
2. Use great, relevant keywords here too. But also feel free to picture what your episode is about, the story you're going to tell, or the topic you're going to cover in that episode. Also, try to speak directly to your target audience here. Why should they stop by and listen to your podcast as opposed to someone else?
3. While there is no specific character limit here, try to keep it to no more than 150 to 4,000 characters. And this is an absolute maximum. You shouldn't need more than this.
4. Descriptions aren't always as important to searches as titles are. For example, platforms like Apple only search for podcast names and episode titles. Whereas Spotify includes details in their searches. So it's really up to you and where you plan to distribute your podcast.
Having said that, descriptions are valuable because they speak directly to the listener and draw them in to listen to your podcast. Titles work for search engines and the technical side of being discovered. But if you really want to reach your audience's heart, go over your description and make it as creative and about you as possible.
