Protein generates disease-fighting power in our body, but its lack reduces the ability to take oxygen in the body, due to which harmful microbes enter our body easily and make diseases in the body. If more protein is used than required, then the protein that remains after the supply of the required protein in the body gets converted into fat, whenever the body needs fat and also there is a lack of heat in the body. Protein is mainly found in vegetables and cereals, pulses, milk, butter, desi ghee, cheese, etc. Protein is not found in ghee, honey, oil, sugar, etc. Protein is found in abundance in wheat, gram, and gram lentils, soybean, all other pulses, curd, milk, cheese, whey, almonds, and other dry fruits. Proteins of this category are of good quality and are easily digestible. Its amount is even more in non-vegetarian food items. Still, it is not high-quality protein, because the amount of fat is high along with the protein obtained from meat, which helps in increasing cholesterol. 

Remember that the protein obtained in milk, cheese, and other milk products is A quality protein, as it is the most quickly digested. Conversely, the sources of vegetable protein are rice, gram, wheat, soybean, urad, tur and other pulses, beans, peas, green leafy vegetables, and evidenced proteins are of B class, as its digestible protein is comparable to A class protein takes more time.

Give protein to children on the basis of age in their developmental stage. Earlier food tables had separate recommendations for different nutrients for men and women (the ones who worked harder).
